The TSEP THEMIS modular platform combines standardized enclosures, modules, and boards with the ability to efficiently develop and integrate custom hardware. This results in flexible test systems that can be precisely tailored to meet a variety of requirements—from compact setups to complex system architectures.
In practice, many test and measurement systems quickly reach their limits: Rigid architectures make customization difficult, custom solutions are complex and costly, and as requirements increase, so does the effort required for integration. With TSEP THEMIS, TSEP offers a modular hardware platform that addresses precisely these challenges.
By combining modular standard hardware, scalable architecture, and customizable expandability, TSEP THEMIS creates a future-proof foundation for test and measurement systems in a wide variety of applications.
Flexible system architecture with standardized components
The THEMIS “Desktop” (tabletop) and “Rack” (19″/3U) standard enclosures form the basis for the rapid setup of test systems. They already include the central infrastructure with a power unit and CPU unit and offer space for up to three or seven modules or cards, respectively. This modular architecture makes it possible to configure test systems to meet specific needs and to expand them at any time as requirements change—without having to replace existing systems.
Hybrid Solutions Through the Integration of Established Measurement Technology
THEMIS supports the integration of PXI and PXIe components, thereby providing access to a wide range of established measurement hardware, including digitizers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers. The combination of standardized PXI/PXIe technology with custom extensions results in powerful hybrid test systems.
This allows companies to benefit from maximum flexibility while enjoying a high level of investment security.
Scalable architecture for growing demands
With THEMIS, multiple systems can be quickly and easily combined into a single, logical system. The individual devices work together as an integrated unit. This scalable architecture makes it possible to expand test capacities in stages — without the need for costly system changes or new developments. This makes it easy to meet growing requirements with THEMIS.
Custom Hardware – Fast and Cost-Effective
For highly specific requirements, TSEP also develops custom housings, modules, and boards. These can be seamlessly integrated into the standardized THEMIS platform and flexibly adapted or expanded as needed. The result is customized test solutions with significantly reduced development effort and shorter time-to-market.
